Custom Rim Wraps

Custom Rims Don't Have to Cost a Fortune

Anyone who's ever seriously considered custom rims knows that you'll be spending a pretty penny. But, it doesn't have to be that way. Times have changed and technology has improved enough that you can now use vinyl wraps to cover your rims and pimp them out in style.

So Many Options to Choose

Once you realize the incredible variety that rim wraps offer you you may never want to consider custom chrome rims again. WHere else can you get green, camo or matte black rims? The great thing about these vinyl wraps is simply that they can be changed as many times as you like and can be used on stock or aftermarket rims--the choice really is yours.

Rim Ringz - An Alternative to Painting

enhance1.jpg

Rim Ringz - The Original Rim Protectors?

As you know, we make it our goal here to review the latest and greatest in custom wheel modifications and one of the ways we do so is through searching the interwebs for new and interesting products. Rim Ringz happens to be one of the companies we came across and the seem to offer a product that is comparable in many ways to Rim-Protec's Wheel Bands although the look is a bit more garish.

What is a Rim Ring(z) Anyway?

Searching their site I was surprised and dismayed by the slow load times and lack of information. The above picture was one of the first, detailed images of a rim ring I came across and, despite the fact that it is a an auto cad mock up, we get the idea of this installs.

Few Options, High Prices

Frankly, when compared to Wheels Bands, Rim Ringz don't offer many options at all for the price. There are three colors: black, silver and red and the oversized appearance of the red and black rings don't really go well with any aesthetic. In addition to the limited color selection Rim Ringz are only offer for wheels up to 20-inches in diameter, and then for an additional $10.

Perhaps the one and only pro that I can find for this product is its ability to conceal damage--something that Wheel Bands are unable to do.

Redlining with Wheel Bands

Redlining with Wheel Bands
Why black mounting tracks with red color inserts are the most popular Wheel Bands color combination...
2012 Ford F150 FX4 with Wheel Bands

Looking great on the most popular vehicle sold (and made) in the USA - just like Wheel Bands.

BTW: Check out the seats on this ride too...
